Turning a trading brand into a wealth-creation partner.
The brand was a place people came to trade. The opportunity was to become the place they came to build wealth — a much larger, much stickier relationship.
Perception had boxed the brand in. People saw a brokerage — somewhere to place a trade — not a partner for building long-term wealth. That ceiling capped everything downstream: the products people expected, the relationships they formed, the share of wallet they gave.
Investors don’t aspire to trade. They aspire to the outcomes trading is meant to fund. The insight
Nobody wakes up wanting to place a trade. They want a house, a retirement, a child’s education — the outcomes. Trading is just the mechanism. So instead of marketing the mechanism harder, we reframed the entire conversation around the outcome: wealth creation. Same firm, bigger promise.
A 24-month repositioning framework that moved messaging, products and customer journeys from ‘trade’ to ‘wealth’ in a deliberate sequence — not a campaign, an operating change. Critically, it was backed by a measurement architecture that tied brand tracking to business outcomes at board level, so brand perception stopped being a soft metric and became a line the P&L could see.
Perception moved, and the business moved with it: gross-sales market share from 1.6% to 4.3%, SIP market share from 1.5% to 3.2%, the franchisee network from 6,900 to 8,000+, assets under advice to ₹5.5 lakh crore, and the client base past 12 million.
