Zepto · The Glitch (WPP) · Quick commerce
Launching a brand before the category existed.
I led Zepto’s first hyperlocal brand launch in Bandra — building a neighbourhood-first market-entry model for a category most people couldn’t yet name.
Quick commerce barely existed as a category. You can’t run a broad awareness campaign for a behaviour people don’t understand yet — and mass media would have been expensive noise. The task was to make one neighbourhood believe first.
Consumers don’t adopt new categories through advertising. They adopt them when the service becomes part of their everyday environment. The insight
Turned Bandra into Zepto’s first live brand ecosystem — a hyperlocal creative and media strategy spanning bus shelters, outdoor media and neighbourhood-level visibility, so the brand felt like part of the area rather than an ad running in it.
Established Zepto’s local presence and, more valuably, created a scalable blueprint — a repeatable way to launch and grow quick-commerce markets through concentrated, hyperlocal brand building rather than blanket spend.
