The stages · Talks & platforms

The talk that started with a bad report card.

Where this thinking has been tested in public — on a TEDx stage, on national television, and in front of the industry.

TEDx · “I didn’t fail exams, exams failed me”

The talk I’m still asked about most. It argues something simple and slightly uncomfortable: that a scorecard measures one narrow thing and then calls it a person — and that a great many capable people are quietly sorted out of their own potential by it. I would know. I was one of them, and then I built a career the scorecard never predicted.

I didn’t fail exams. Exams failed me.

The ₹11 web studio put me in front of a camera long before I had any business being there: CNBC’s Young Turks covered the venture, alongside The Times of India, Bombay Times and India Unbound. It was the first time an idea of mine had to survive contact with a real audience.

The industry rooms

Fifteen years of showing up where marketers argue: industry stages and leadership forums through the agency decade and brand side, and the trade press — Campaign India, Economic Times Brand Equity, AdAge and Adgully — where the work and the thinking behind it have been covered and picked apart.

The recognition that followed is on the record: Brand Builder of the Year at the Great Indian BFSI Awards 2025, Gold at ET Brand Equity 2024, Campaign South Asia Young Achiever 2019, and Media Ace Rising Star 2019.
